Orthodontic Options:

There are a variety of options when it comes to straightening your smile:

Clear Correct

At our practice, our dentists utilize Clear Correct. Clear Correct is an advanced tooth alignment system that utilizes a clear removable aligner custom designed to fit your teeth. The aligners can be removed and therefore do not interfere with everyday activities such as eating or brushing teeth. However, patients must be diligent when it comes to wearing the aligners throughout the majority of the day. For the aligners to be successful in straightening your teeth, you need to wear them most of the time if not all the time. Optimal results are achieved when the aligners are worn for at least 22 hours per fay.

The aligners are worn in a series of sets and teeth slowly move and adjust with each seet of aligner. Patients pick up each round of aligners periodically from our office in order, which allows for our dentists to monitor the progress. Clear Correct is a professional straightening system that offers our patients comfortable and speedy alignment in a discreet manner.

The Inman Aligner

The Inman Aligner is a great orthodontic option for patients who are concerned with the alignment of their front, most visible teeth only. This treatment works through a removable aligner that is placed on the inside of your teeth to produce a fast alignment of the front teeth in 6-18 weeks. The aligner is composed of nickel-titanium springs that push the aligner sides opposite each other to move the teeth into alignment. The movement is strong, so the aligner works faster than traditional methods, but it is mostly utilized for people who need a quick fix on their front teeth and have simple orthodontic issues.

Invisible Braces

Invisible braces offer patients a more discreet twist on the traditional metal braces. Invisible braces are named for the tooth-colored wires and brackets that are used instead of metal. The braces are made of ceramic for a more natural look and do not stain. Although this option is not as “invisible” as clear aligners, it fixes a wider range of alignment issues more effectively than other non-traditional orthodontic treatment.

Metal Braces

Metal braces are known to produce strong and lasting results. They were the traditional form of alignment used by orthodontists for years and are sometimes the most effective option in certain cases. Our dentists are skilled in providing effective and fast-working braces that are designed specifically for your orthodontic needs. You can trust that our team will provide the most comfortable fit while also guaranteeing long-lasting, beautiful results with traditional metal braces.

Can Anyone Use Aligners?

While invisible braces and metal braces can treat most orthodontic problems, clear aligner options are much more limited in their effectiveness. Clear options cannot treat complex bite issues or particular misalignments of the teeth. They are most effective in the following areas only:

  • Misaligned front teeth
  • Crooked teeth
  • Spaced teeth
  • Overcrowding
  • Some overbites

Can Anyone Use Aligners?

People of all ages can use clear aligner systems so long as it is deemed effective for their straightening needs. It is mostly recommended for ages teenagers to adults due to the level of responsibility that comes with wearing them for at least 22 hours a day. For younger teens or children that suffer from complex alignment issues, the traditional wire and bracket options may be better suited.
